Events of 2017 to 2018

The events taking place in Margate revolve around the history of the area or focus on the artistic side of the city.

In August the annual carnival takes place which is full of colour and sounds and the procession moves throughout the city bringing it to life. The different activities that you can do in this carnival are endless and you are bound to have a fun day out!
In September you can discover so much more about the amazing architecture and culture of the city during the Heritage Open Days. The day this event takes place, the Theatre Royal will allow everyone to visit this ancient and unique theatre free of cost. The historic atmosphere will leave you mesmerized and at the end of the day, you will have learned a lot more about the city than you would have expected.
